First Workshop on Embedded Systems Security
A Workshop of ACM EMSOFT’2006

The 1st Workshop on Embedded Systems Security will take place on Thursday, October 26, 2006 in Seoul, South Korea as part of EMSOFT, which is the flagship conference of the ACM Special Interest Group on Embedded Computing (SIGBED). The goal of the Workshop is to address research problems in the technical area of security and embedded systems. Papers are invited in all issues of security and embedded systems, including (but not limited to):

  • Secure embedded systems,
  • Security processors and co-processors,
  • Security planning and provisioning for embedded systems,
  • Security of Internet-enabled embedded systems,
  • Side-channel attacks and countermeasures,
  • Novel cryptanalytic attacks and countermeasures,
  • Secure distributed embedded systems,
  • Security of sensor networks,
  • Efficient random number generation for use in embedded systems,
  • Secure embedded applications and services,
  • Case studies.

Submission deadline: May 22, 2006
Notification: July 8, 2006
Camera-ready: August 15, 2006

A paper should be no more than 6 pages on 8.5 x 11" paper with fonts of at least 10 point. Submitted papers need not conform to ACM typesetting guidelines, but authors of accepted papers must submit ACM-format versions by the camera-ready copy due date. For further information, you may visit
